Roadie - The Crack 2

Another great experience I had in the late 70s, was having the chance to provide Roadie support to some of my favourtie bands. While studying Marine Radio at Hull College, the Student Union leader had his own company on the side which supported bands playing locally. As a student it was a great way to earn a few pounds, and see live music. I was lucky to provide support to John Miles, Uriah Heep and their supporting band Girlschool, and the Damned! Mostly this was just unloading and loading the equipment, but for Uriah Heep and Girlschool, it also meant operating the spotlights for the stage........Awesome!!
